The Elgin County Drowning Prevention Coalition (ECDPC) is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to drowning prevention education, awareness, and research in St. Thomas and Elgin County. Founded to support the Canadian Drowning Prevention Research Centre’s mission, ECDPC works to enhance community-based water safety knowledge and initiatives.
With over 100 km of Lake Erie shoreline, as well as numerous ponds, rivers, marshes, backyard pools, and agricultural water sources, Elgin County presents unique water safety challenges.
